CoreMark methodology and ranking rules
17NAS rankings and CPU detail pages use CoreMark results submitted from real user devices. This page explains testing, review and ranking.
Why CoreMark
CoreMark is an integer CPU benchmark published by EEMBC. The 17NAS runner measures parallel performance using the threads available to the process. Results depend on thread count, compiler, operating system, power limits and cooling. It does not measure storage, network or GPU performance.
Data sources and test workflow
- Linux / NAS: run the command below. The runner collects device and test information and saves an SVG report, JSON and the original log. No root access required.
- Review the detected information in the terminal and choose Upload, or import the JSON and SVG on the submission page. Results enter the ranking only after manual approval.
- Results enter the review queue and count only after manual approval.
- Each sample retains its device, system and available test conditions. CPU detail pages show approved samples.
Official parallel CoreMark 1.0; automatic calibration; validated run ≥ 10 s. Not a single-thread measurement.
Handling anomalous results
- Inconsistent evidence, duplicate results and unexplained outliers require review and may be rejected. Disclose power limits, cooling and virtualization when known.
- The ranking uses the best approved score for each model. CPU pages also show the average, median and sample count.
- Report suspicious data through the feedback page for review.
Ranking algorithm
Models are sorted by their best approved CoreMark score in descending order. Only approved submissions are counted; online reference scores are not substituted for real tests.
Why scores differ between systems
Thread availability, compiler flags, scheduling, background load, power limits and cooling affect results. Compare the test conditions alongside the score. A frequency snapshot is not the official base or boost frequency.
Data updates:Rankings and CPU pages update after approval. Sample details show submission dates.
